4-Ingredient Salted Caramel Fudge Recipe

4-Ingredient Salted Caramel Fudge Recipe

Terri Wolters

This decadent Salted Caramel Fudge is the perfect treat for any chocolate lover. With just four ingredients, you'll have a batch of smooth, velvety fudge ready in no time.

The sweetened condensed milk provides a rich, creamy base while the semi-sweet chocolate chips add indulgent chocolate flavor. A hint of vanilla accentuates the chocolate notes beautifully. But the real star here is the coarse sea salt, which contrasts sublimely with the sweetness of the caramel and chocolate. The salt intensifies all the flavors and makes you come back for more of this blissful candy.

Making this fudge couldn't be simpler. You'll mix the sweetened condensed milk, caramels, and chocolate chips together and melt them either on the stove or in the microwave. Be sure not to overheat the mixture. Then you'll stir in some vanilla and salt. From there it just needs a short stint in the fridge to set up before you can cut it into squares.

In just over 2 hours from start to finish, you'll have a pan full of rich, buttery smooth fudge flecked with chunks of chocolate. The sea salt crunches satisfyingly in every creamy, caramel-y bite. It makes a perfect gift or an anytime treat for yourself. Indulge in a square of this Salted Caramel Fudge and you’ll instantly be transported into chocolate nirvana.

How should you store 4-ingredient salted caramel fudge?

This sweet and salty treat is so delicious you may not end up with leftovers: Chances are if you leave a plate out at a dinner party, you won't have much to put away. However, if you are preparing a stash for yourself, you'll be glad to know that it retains its freshness very well. "One of the best things about this fudge is that it will keep in the fridge for up to 3 weeks if you store it in an airtight container," Terri remarks and adds, "So whenever you have a hankering for fudge you can take out a piece or two and eat it."
